How do I search for peer-reviewed literature?
Answer
While not all databases have a filter for peer-reviewed articles, EBSCO does. Since our Still OneSearch is through our subscription to EBSCO, it and the plethora of EBSCO databases make limiting your search to peer-reviewed articles simple. Once you search your topic, you should be able to check the box next to "Peer Reviewed" on the left-hand side.
If the database or search engine you are using to find a peer-reviewed article is not an EBSCO database, then unfortunately you will need to do a bit more research. To determine if an article is peer-reviewed you must determine if the journal which published it is a peer-reviewed journal. The quickest way is to locate the journal's official web site. If it is a peer-reviewed journal they will advertise it, usually under the "Information for Authors" or "About Us" section.
